“Compassionate care for lymphatic health and whole-body balance.”
This treatment is designed for anyone looking to detoxify, speed up healing, or simply restore balance after stress, illness or surgery.
Whether you’re navigating recovery, supporting your immune system, or giving your body a fresh start, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) offers a soothing and effective approach.
Unlike traditional massage, MLD doesn’t work on the muscles — instead, it targets the lymphatic system, a vital network of vessels that sit just beneath the skin’s surface. These vessels help carry waste, toxins, and excess fluid away from tissues and support the immune system in keeping you well.
MLD can be performed either on a traditional massage couch or on soft Hydrotherm water pillows, which gently cradle the body in warmth. My personal preference is to use the water pillows, as they offer maximum comfort and deep relaxation throughout the session.
What to Expect
The treatment begins with gentle diaphragmatic breathing — a calming technique that activates the parasympathetic nervous system and stimulates the deep lymphatic vessels in the abdomen.
We follow this with a guided body scan, inviting you to tune in and become aware of your body’s current state.
The massage itself begins with abdominal work, using rhythmic movements in time with your breath to stimulate the lymph nodes in the gut — the body’s central hub for immune activity and detoxification.
From there, we move to the clavicle area, also known as the body’s secondary lymphatic drainage point (or "drain"), to help prepare the upper body for optimal flow.
Using slow, pumping and sweeping motions, I then work across the neck, head, shoulders, underarms, arms, and hands, followed by the upper legs moving downwards. This sequence helps guide the lymph fluid gently but effectively towards the drainage points, encouraging lightness, ease, and flow throughout the system.
MLD is performed without oil, allowing me to feel the gentle stretch and movement of the skin — a key part of stimulating lymphatic flow.
At the end of the treatment, I apply a soft, beautifully blended oil as a nourishing final touch to support the senses and soften the skin.
Why the Lymphatic System Matters
The lymphatic system is often called the body’s unsung hero — quietly supporting healing, reducing inflammation, and carrying away cellular waste. It acts as a back-up to the circulatory system, helping to deliver nutrients, absorb fats, and fight infection.
When the lymph system is supported, the body feels clearer, lighter, and more resilient.
Duration & Booking Info
The treatment itself lasts approximately 75–90 minutes, depending on your individual needs. I recommend allowing up to 2 hours in total, including time for consultation, grounding, and transition between chair and couch.
